A really inviting pudding stuffed full of juicy and succulent looking vine fruits with a delicious, comforting, warm and gently spicy, festive aroma. Generous and soft fruit contrast with a rich and buttery, especially light crumb which is very welcome. Moist, balanced, carefully judged levels of sweetness and subtle spicing, juxtaposing with the savoury Guinness. Deeply satisfying and long lingering flavours without any cloying and an admirable clean finish. Truly delicious, offering all the character of a really honest steamed pudding.
